Default Help need Dana 44 parts

my buddies jeep blew the rear axle apart yesterday... GGRRR tight on cash and looking for parts.. need the carrier, (open) and ring and pinion.. 37 teeth on the ring 9 on pinion for 4.11 ratio... this is out of a 92 YJ wrangler..

if you have anything PLEASE let me know!!! trying to get this back on the road...

Well, if its a stock axle out of a YJ, its not a D44. Might want to verify whether the axle was swapped in, or if its actually a D35.

i thought the steel plug ment 44 and the plastic plug ment 35??

That's a generally true assumption, but what you're telling us by assuming its a D44 and telling us what vehicle its for is that you don't know what axle it is. YJ's didn't come with D44 rears.


Use the housing shape to identify it. I'm the one that left the VM.

This is the D44:



This is an 8.25, but the D35 cover will look just like this:
