Default Need to find some flat stock

What im looking for is a 4' x 8' x 3/16th sheet steel. Place to get other than alro around Grand rapids. Need prices before anything. Going to try ss&e this week. Any help or info would be helpful.

Central Iron and steel located over in walker. there prices can somtimes be better then alro, and a few others in town as well.

heres a few more
hascol steel there located in grandville
good metal
progression steel in grandville as well.

these are the major supplyer for us, were I work.

Central has some of the best prices. They also usually have seconds at about 60% of regular cost that are just as good as new. 616-363-4013. I just called for something else and asked for you.

52" x 96" seconds = $136
4' x 8' new = $200

Yeah but sometimes its cheaper to go right to the source. Never hurts to do a little checking around. Building a jeep with no money takes a little planing.

just saw this...


IMHO, central iron is usually overpriced...But, the convenience of being able to walk in and back out 5 minutes later after poking around to make sure there aren't any good deals, its a wash.

If you're looking to get at least a decent size quantity, I'd go to Contractor's Steel - they're on Dormax by 28th & Ivanrest. They have hands down beaten every quote I've ever received from any of the local joints.

They also deliver for a 10-dollar surcharge (you might have to have a min. order though)
