Default 1989 Cherokee (XJ)

I'm toying with going a different route.

Asking price $4,500

1989 XJ Cherokee
4.0 w/187,000 miles
new exhaust manifold
new radiator
newer injectors
fairly clean interior
Missing headliner

Rusty's 8" Long Arm
Rubicon Express Trac Bar
all tie rod ends, ball joints, etc. have less than 2,000 miles
CV Driveshaft
Poly motor mounts

Super 35 rear, alloy shafts, 4.56's, Detroit Locker, disc brakes
Super 30 front, alloy shafts, 4.56's

Warn front bumper with Warn 9.5TI, near new, used about 6 times.

35" Cooper STT's on 15x17 inch rims, less than 500 miles on them, just purchased new about 5-6 weeks ago. (set of 4, on the Jeep)

35" BFG Mud Terrain KR's..grooved/cut racing tires. Bought from Greaves racing. Used two races. five tires, one brand new mounted on rim for above to be used as a spare.

the top picture has the KR's, bottom has the STT's. Only one set of rims though.

Spare hood
extra set of factory flares
stock front axles for spares
extra-new alloy shaft for rear
Also have factory rims and tires
High lift jack

Very solid body for an '89! Was driven about 200 miles for a wheeling trip last winter, otherwhise salt free/winter free for the last 10 or so years.

It does have some rust in the drivers side floor board. Nothing serious, but it's there.

The air doesn't blow cold, the cruise doesn't work, the factory stereo works, but the antenna's broken.

The bad... Even with all of the new front end parts, trac bar, etc. It still has slight death wobble. Nothing serious and will run 70mph all day. The wobble comes and goes depending on the road, most notible on curves.

It runs hot, around 240 according to the gauge. It's been like that for years and does not overheat, runs all day. Just completed a 200 mile trip with it with no issues.

The rear shackles need to be extended as they bottom out, currently they need new bushings. If I was to keep it, they would be switched to Rubicon Express Boomerang/extended style shackles.

Runs fantastic, all fluids recently changed..250 miles or so on all fluids.

Would prefer not to part out. Thanks for the interest! Rick

By the way, I would trade..I'm looking for a very clean small stock 4x4, if you have a Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado, Nissan, even a Dakota, let me know what you've got. I'd give my Cherokee and an additional $4-5,000 in cash. If you've got the above mentioned worth around 8 grand and it's clean, let me know.
