While you are at the Huffington post, why not check the price tags on the outfits worn by Laura Bush and Cindy McCain the other night. Especially Cindy's $$$$$ ensemble. Now who are the elitists?

Besides, I have found the Huffington post to have some newsworthy items, not just biased blogs.

Of course, there are other sources that lean hard one way or the other (seen them referenced here more than once) and a few that are unbiased. A very few.

Please, dispute the resume if you would like. Use what ever source you want. But make sure that source is not just one sides spin. Make sure the source uses complete information. I will accept facts no matter what the source. That would be facts, not half truths, not spin, just the facts.

obama isnt going to try and take away a womens right to choose what is right for her body, or try and force my kid to pray, or ban stem cell research in the name of following HIS god.

there is a big dif.
i have no problem with people going to church and practicing whatever they believe
its when there religion affects the rights of others that do not believe that i have a problem.

and as far as whinny baby talk

i dont see how having an opinion is whinny baby talk
attacking me personally wont change my opinions on the subject
but does reinforce my opinions on Christians

1. truly twisted. A persons "right to choose" vs a human life
2. admit that noone has ever forced your kid to pray - or even threatened to
3. there is no federal ban on stem cell research

It is sad that people think this way

Here's one reason I'm not voting for McCain/Palin - Speaking before the Pentecostal church, Palin painted the current war in Iraq as a messianic affair in which the United States could act out the will of the Lord.
"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

I'm a conservative, non-bible-thumper who resents the fact that bible-thumpers are such a vocal minority in my party.

However, let's look at facts:

1) No President can take away a woman's "right to choose". Roe v. Wade was "legislated" by the Supreme Court, and it would take a different Supreme Court (which one President will never appoint) to revoke it or a Constitutional Amendment (again, not the President's doing) to change it. Don't fall prey to the Obamatoid radio commercials. McCain may not like it, but there's nothing they can do about it except talk - ditto Dubya, Bush, and Reagan before. I HATE liberal lawmaking via the courts, but it is the law (one that I, incidentally, support).

2) I've never heard any candidate even vaguely mention legislating religion or forcing anybody's kid to pray. Hell, even Pat Buchanan and the preacher Huckabee didn't try it. Ann Coulter is an entertainer, not a politician.

3) Be clear about the "ban" on stem cell research. The "ban" limited federal funding of embryonic stem cell research to 72 lines of embryonic stem cells already identified. It did not limit federal funding for stem cell research on adult stem cells (which has been where ALL of the actual successes have come from) or "ban" privately-funded embryonic stem cell research. Understand the embryonic stem cell research is largely considered "junk science" and had not provided much in the way of success, unlike adult stem cell research. One of the troubles that happen when politicians and media get their scientific info from high-school dropouts (Micheal J. Fox) and other actors (Christopher Reeve) instead of less camera-friendly scientists.
