Default 1974 Pontiac GTO

1974 Pontiac GTO with all parts ready to be restored.

455 big block w/ Muncie 4-speed

All original parts are there and it would be a relatively easy restoration project. For those who don't know these cars are exceptionally rare. Price is $5500 firm.

Nice - those were kinda cool - especially with the shaker hood and a good color like red.

However, as far as "original" they came with 350s - no 455 Venturas.

Car is about 50 minutes north of Lansing-realize they came with 350's although there are a few website that have discussed the 455 as being an ordered option-not sure.

At the dealership i worked at in 74, you could order a crate 455SD and associated TransAm parts to make the conversion, but not straight from the factory.

is it a hatchback?

Just a trunk, no hatchback. That is interesting and makes sense now with what I have read.

It ran and drove when parked about 4 years ago. I don't believe it has been started since so I'm sure the gas/oil needs changed and it needs gone through but shouldn't take too much.

Nice car. I've seen a lot of the 74's lately. Wouldn't mind having one, but I gotta finish what I have first.

It's weird, when he bought it we spent a year looking for it and drove to Ohio to buy it. Now I have seen a few on ebay here and there.
