What a great night. I though every speech was great and Rudy has a very weird, kind of awkward/creepy laugh.

I thought her speach was outstanding , hopefullly when is office she will be given power to make things happen , seems the last few VP's were there to keep a seat warm.
Mccain would be very smart and productive to use her abilities to the max.

Unfortunately I thought Mitt's speach sucked. He's done much better. Mike was great and Rudi was pretty good.

As far as Sara in a debate, I wouldn't worry a bit. She's got confidence and poise that isn't fake. As far as starting out slow, yes she had to do that. If she had come out slinging, she would have just been another Hillary bitch on the muscle. Instead she showed family, compassion, real world experiences and governmental experience as a background.

I'm pretty impressed with her speaking ability... Not as good as Obama, but way better then McCain. What an asset to the ticket.

I'd hit it...5 more times...

In all seriousness, I'm actually excited for the election this year.

Call me crazy, (and I'm sure I'll get plenty of $hit for this) but I can't logically determine why anyone or how anyone could vote democrat. I'm really excited to see how this plays out.

Why not have her represent us on the world stage? She is not just a small town hockey mom, she is a Governor of a State. A State that has National Parks larger than Biden's entire state. And She received more votes to be Mayor of Wasilla than Biden received in him bid to be president. Tell you anything?

Would agree with you on her speech, she did well. Was a good way to separate herself from the Hillary wanna-be look. Think she could hold her own in the debates and feel that the attacks on her family are going to backfire on Obama's camp.

what I see happening is that on the issues the will not be able to compete and thus end up bashing her family, if they do that it will backfire. best and smartest thing they should do is forget about the daughter and try to focus on issues.

Does she have views on them? Haven't looked it up, because i'm not gay.

But i have a feeling, like all politicians she'll take a view to get votes, but then think/do another thing. ie, she'll say she's against gay marriage, but in fact not really give a shit because there are far more important things to worry about.

Obama fleww too soon.
He was using the "do nothing=do nothing wrong" plan and it backfired.

The next question is: Was that the best Palin can do? I hope not, but the bar has been set.

She rocks. I see the future first female president.

My prediction: a 10 point bounce in the polls by Sept 11.

I read it.

Well written

Plenty of spin, stretches and misdirections, as you would expect in a speech written by either party.

Some good points as well.

Waiting to see how she reponds without the teleprompter.
