Update on mine. I installed an Aussie locker up front before my trip to Flatnasty. Between that, the sliders, and the power steering, it was a whole different rig. Sliders are way cool. I never thought I would rely on them so much, or that they could make climbing rocks so care free. The power steering is a huge improvement, but in the rocks I still found myself unable to turn the wheels a few times. A ram will be in the future. I still need more gear. That is it's biggest downfall. I haven't made up my mind if I want to go larger on tires and stretch the wheelbase or not. A few of the guys on the trip were against it.

But overall the work that JCR did was awesome and I can't thank them enough.

I like when you press the "smoke screen" button and chase all the bugs away.:tonka:

Just kidding, that thing did really well.

JCR did some pretty trick work making that happen. No JK. Yeah I haven't looked into it, but I am thinking valve seals need to get changed. I have a set around here.

New pics. Replaced the 33's with 36x12.50 TSL SX's and 8" wide wheels in place of the 10"ers I had.

Tight fit.

Had a little trimming to do.

Still needs some more clearancing. They worked quite well though. Going from radials to bias took some getting used to. I went too low on air pressure (0 psi) trying to get them to squat some (they won't) and lost a bead. It didn't hurt my gearing noticeably. I should have the 5.71's in soon though.

Update.

Cleared out the fenders some more including into the drivers floor and patched it back in for tire clearance.

1.5" wheel spacers installed. Looks much better and front tires don't rub on the control arms on lock.

Made a new front trac bar with heims instead of rubber. Steering is much improved.

Installed 5.71 gears on both ends last weekend. Now it is much more drivable. All five gears have a use on the street, and a crawl ratio of 106:1 is quite lovely.

I really like the SX's. They hook up well in everything I have been in.
