Do you Buy Carbon Credits?

Holy crap.I was watching a episode of Penn & Tellers "Bullshit" and never knew there was such a thing as Carbon Credits..In short my interpitation is if you feel quilty about throwing away a plastic bottle without recycling it...or driving a SUV you can pay for Carbon Credits to clens your sole......kinda like......doing a bunch of Hale Marys and our Fathers in the confessional.......

Come on you Greenies..Try to take away my SUV and try and make me feel bad about not doing enough to save our planet....

I do my share...But don't make be out to be an idiot by trying to sell me Carbon Credits...... to make me feel like I am a better person. Some of these credits go to buy wind turbines in other countries.

Do you buy credits?

I know it's really more involved then that but come on.......

Here's a link to a article that sums it up
http://www.youcanlearnseries.com/Blo...n-Credits.aspx

Pay me $50 a week and I'll take public transportation to work rather then driving my van.

The P&T on Global warming was great. The lady selling the carbon credits drove a f'n land rover. That show cracked me up. I also liked the nutty lady that gave people rocks and they walked in the circle.

edit: I forgot to answer the question. No, I don't buy carbon credits.

I went to San Francisco this spring to see my daughter race at the NCAA championship in Sacramento.

They tried to strongarm us into buying carbon credits to offset the "carbon impact" of our flight from Denver to SF. (btw, going west I always fly Frontier - greatest airline ever).

I told them to f*&k off and rented a 4.0 Pacifica - with duals (the closest thing to a real midwestern SUV) when I got there.

Remember - Algore is one of masterminds behind and making large coin off of) the whole "carbon offset" scam...

I thought Grosse Ile was the San Francisco of Michigan. LOL

I hope you left the car running and the air on even when you weren't in it.

I walked and took public transportation everywhere in San Francisco.

It was refreshing to visit somewhere that could take advantage of such a thing... I was super impressed with the infrastructure as well.

I buy them at the pump, and then I re-distribute them to the earth from whence they came.

How about we just tell them fark off, buy a windmill ,put it up here and spend the profits you'd make off of the energy sold.
