I think it's a smart move, all the people that wanted Hillary just because she bleeds monthly may now vote McCain because of his running mate.
My wife and her friend were Hillary supporters. They laughed when the saw the nomination just a couple of minutes ago. Now the Republican party has a "token female" to represent them. I realize most of you on this site appear to lean towards the republican party. Most Democrats are laughing at this and this will change nothing. Republicans will support their party no-matter who is running and so will Democrats. Let the games begin. She is pretty hot tough.

party voters will always be party voters. It's the sway voters that decide elections.

I think once Palin starts debating against the dems, people will realize how strong she is for change (and what she has already done) vs what the dems are only talking/wishing about doing. the Dems talk about "change", she is "change".

I also think most females do not like Hillary. I think most females will feel more connected to a younger VP canidate that is female, mother of4, hockey mom, with an enlisted son. Sounds like the center of America to me, and nothing like Hillary.

You are correct but imagine how many black people never voted. (most of them) who are going to be coming out in huge numbers to vote for Obama. It is going to be interesting. As long as she comes to debate against G.W.'s policies then they have a chance. Other wise there is no "change". In order for Republicans to come out with some "change" they have to admit that G.W. was an idiot without actually saying it. I am still open to listen to either side. I must admit that right now the Dems have more to offer as far as change goes. But I am willing to listen to what she has to say. I would consider myself a "swing vote" this year. I was a Clinton supporter and started out a Bush supporter in his first term. Last time I voted for Kerry.

Also one who's political career seems to be all her own, with no part of it riding on her husbands coat tails.

Only time will tell.

I think itís no coincidence that the young black man candidate picked an old white dude as a running mate, and the old white dude candidate picked a young woman running mate.

I like it how you started off all hot and bothered then got so much truth shoved in your face you had no other choice but to post a picture of someone in a bikini.

Ignorance ftw.

I agree only time will tell.

It does feel a little gimiciky for McCain to pick her. Right Now, I think she is one of the best choices McCain can make. High Risk, High Return.

Only time will tell if she can hold up under the bright national spotlight. If she does McCain will a genius. If not she will be known for being McCain's greatest mistake.

I look forward to learning more about McCain/Palin.

I agree. This is the dumbest VP pick since Dan Quayle. Yeah I want former beauty pagent contestant and TV sports reporter as second in charge, or god forbid, President. The world would be laughing.

From her 1984 run at Miss Alaska

Did you miss the part about her being a former mayor, governor of the state of Alaska and chairwoman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission?

So that means after a couple hours of "thinking it over" you've decided she's a good choice to fix everything ailing the u.s.? I didn't get shit shoved in my face but a bunch of republican propoganda, which is all they have btw, and didn't feel the need to respond to it. If you have a problem with girls in bikinis, I'd suggest leaving the site Fag.

Wait minute being on the PTA, part-time mayor of city with only 6000 people and two years gov. in the state with the population the size of Grand Rapids, makes you qualified to run the most powerful country in the world. Damn than Kwame Kilpatrick should be president. He has tons more experience and runs a city bigger than the whole state of Alaska.

If anyone should feel slighted it's Condoleezza Rice. She has ten times the education and experience.
