"Morals" is doing the right thing because it's the right thing to do, not because you fear punishment.
Instead of saying what you Think I believe, answer the questions I ask and you might be surprised at what you find you believe.

Morality as I see it dosen't end with rape, pillage, or plunder, but then again I have a directional guide I use.

You have yet to provide any parameters as to what you think morality is or who determines it.

Thats scary.

Thats not rude its inconciviable that we, including you, would treat someone like that, and then we, including you, would make jokes about it.

If you read everything you would see the whole point was that it's more appealing not to just die and thats the end.

Please give us you opinion on beating the living shit out of somebody, especially some as bad as Jesus, then nailing them to a cross to die, and then we all make jokes about it.

Before you tell us how you feel set aside anything to do with religion and just look at it as done to another regular person.

I look forward to the new jokes you can come with about treating someone like that.

Try not to be rude.
Of course religion makes it more APPEALING that you don't just "end" when you die. That's their hook. Jessica Simpson climbing into my bed tonight sure sounds appealing, but I don't think it's going to happen, and i'm not going to fool myself into thinking it will.

Countless people have been crucified throughout the years, and countless more have been tortured much worse than that. It's not right, but that's life. Simple, mortal, short, sweet, imperfect, organic life. We're not special, deal with it, and try to enjoy it.

Brilliant MISHOWJEEPER!
To follow this with a few quotes from a book I enjoy:
"It's only after you've lost everything," Tyler says, "that you're free to do anything." ~Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club, Chapter 8
You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else, and we are all part of the same compost pile. ~Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club, Chapter 17

We are all worm food. I have accepted that. There is no mythical place that we go after we die. We are not special. Religion is a tool to control the masses. Always has been, always will.

Christianity is not even a unique type of religion. It is a mish-mash of previous religions. Christian don't even know the history of their own religions.

Once you walk away from your religion you will realize that you CAN live without fear. You can start enjoying your life without worrying about the afterlife. Enjoy the moment. Stop being part of the "flock".

Mr Toes, it is OK to tell others you are scared. It shows in your posts. The first stage is admitting it to yourself. It is ok. We will welcome you. Let your fear go......

Can we use this as a moral guideline.

Look at it this way toes, you don't have to worry about hell anymore, you don't have to beat yourself up over "impure" thoughts anymore, you were born with instincts, that's what guides you. If your instincts say to beat off, then beat off, if your instincts tell you that the girl who looks too young but
"damn she's hot!" is hot, don't beat yourself up over it. Don't fukc her, but don't beat yourself up over it. Once you lose your fear of being yourself, you will feel a freedom and clear consious that religion never allowed you

Here we go again, saying what you think I believe.

My belief takes all fears from me. I have something to look forward to.

Don't fukc her

Why not!
It's my instinct.

I answered your question before you asked it, see post #32.

To me being "moral" means trying not to do things that will cause harm, suffering, or misery to others, and doing things to try to alleviate the suffering and misery of others when you can.

I believe this to be a universal code that transcends all religions and societies. I believe the original intention of the "directional guide" that your, or any other religion uses is an attempt to achieve the above ideal, but that people desiring to control the masses have taken control of those "directional guides" and perverted and reinterpreted them for their own purposes.

Why do you keep editing my quote? I think the entire quote rings true for you, and you don't like it. I don't mind being quoted, but please don't butcher what I say to make it more suitable to your argument.

So the guide book is what you use.

The reason I ask this is your definition of harm, suffering and misery, will differ from somebody else, as will defining actions that cause or releive those hard ships.

Also you would be the biggest hypocrite on this site because you know that you don't do everything you can to help other people, you do what you want and you pass on things you could do but choose not to that would help others.
Also you would NOT be following your definition of moral.

So you believe in a fairy tale to tell you what's right and wrong, but you have no respect for this countrys written laws? One more thing that makes jesus freaks scary. That, and they assume anything goes without religion.

My qoute didn't get pulled into anything. Your alteration of my qoute got pulled into it.
