how many kicks?

91 CR250, how many times should I kick it over to do a compression test?

2-4 will give you all the compression it will ever build. Make sure you hold the throttle wide open while testing to make sure it can get all the air it will need in order to make the test accurate as possible

Guess I will retry it. I kicked it til it stopped rising and it went up to like 120, but that was like 10 kicks.

That's fine. Keep doing it until it stops - 10 kicks doesn't sound out of the ordinary.

You can go to a different taper needle that will give you similar part-throttle characteristics, but will add fuel closer to WOT.

I just need to know what needle is in your carb right now.
