Hello again everyone-

I was wondering if anyone here is good with gear installs? I just picked up my 8.8 and am in the process of getting it ready for the Jeep I will be regearing it ( I also own a Mustang so I have regeared this axle before) I am going 4.56 gears and installing an Aussie locker in the front. I will have the gears, install kit and a brand new open carrier so it should go pretty smooth but I would prefer to have some help from someone who has regeared a Dana axle before.

I am willing to pay for the help (let me know how much)... or buy the Ofcourse I will come to you and would like to meet some of you so we could make it a small meet or something if that is prefered!!

Thank you in advance!!

You know, that's a really good question. I've got gears sitting on the shelf for mine too. I just haven't gotten around to installing them. I regeared a Dodge truck over ten years ago (and they ran smooth) but I too was hoping to find someone else with more experience to give me a hand.

Anyone?

I should be ready in about a month (hopefully less) I have a lot of work to do to get my 8.8 done. Will be starting the axle clean up tonight. It would be cool if we could make a meet out of it looking forward to meeting everyone!!

Ha! Last I saw it, there were some bicycles and other assorted kid toys, plus a couple of sleds in there... and probably probably a small block or two (which the 3yo still has to "fix" for you, I think). And lately, you keep sending me/us pictures of a "new toy" you're in the process of taking a cutting torch to... so, I can only imagine. *laugh*

Sorry, Russ too!

And yeah, the American Legend garage is in full fab mode. That's fabrication, not fabulous.

This project is turning out to be a complete test of my design and fab skills. I just hope it looks/works as good when it's done as it does in my head.

Mine got a little warm too, but we seemed to get around alright. We'll get another meeting going soon.
