Are the tough guys with CCWs going to really shoot over $4? What are they going to do, the guy has the piece on you already... shoot him as he leaves? Is $3 worth going to jail for?

I think you are missing the point here ace....

It's not that he is taking your 3$. It is the fact that he has a gun in your face. Your life is resting in the hands of this coke head mother f***er who is all jacked up and robbing you. Who's to say this guy isn't going to take the things you give him and then shoot you in the face after you hand over all your stuff.

And as for all the "tough guys with CCW's"--I didn't see anyone who claimed to have a CCW saying any of this stupid bull**** about shooting them in the back as they left. Generally if someone hass a CCW, they have respect for their weapons as well as the law regarding them.

p.s. Ever hear of a wallet holster? isn't hard to grab your peice instead of you wallet now is it?

glad you are all right.

I had a guy stick a gun in my face when I was a teenager. You can say I would have or you should have all you want. It is different when it actually happens. I cant really even remember what was even said between myself anf the gun toting detroiter.

You did exactly as you should have done based on your situation. Its hard to say what any of us would do and you did what you felt was right to do at the time. In every situation you must judge for yourself what risk you are willing to take based on the actions and attitudes of the other guy...don't question the decision you made...you are alive so you made the right one at that moment.

Do question how you were put in the circumstance you were in..is there some way you can prevent this in the future...perhaps in where you were standing...how observant you were at the moment...your attitude at the moment (distracted, unsure, not aware of your surroundings, etc.) and a host of other ways to make you look less like someone these guys want to mess with... etc etc.

As far as those of us who carry on a regular basis...again it depends on the situation...but do know that no matter what happens justified or not...you will go to jail and have a lengthy court battle ahead of you if you use your gun. Do what you have been taught. If your mind set is that you are not sure if you have the ability to take a life that is threatning yours or your loved ones...then please re-think whether you should be carrying. It is a great responsibility that is not to be taken lightly or flippantly. Its not for show...or to be macho...or for any other reason but to defend (defend not offend) yourself and those you love in a lethal force encounter.

Also remeber being aware of your surroundings and having the right mind set is more important than the hardware you are carrying. The greatest weapon you have is in between your ears. (Of course some of us are more armed than others in that regard...hahahaha :tonka: )

Ned, did you catch what the guy looked like? If so, PLEASE post it up here, so we can all look out for suspicious looking guys. Also, if I see him, I can know to avoid him.

yeah he was a white guy with a black gun!!!!!!!!
i really couldn't take my eyes off the gun
as for knowing my surroundings i always watch for cars pulling into the parking lots of the taco bells or kfc but there was no car
i was putting my ramp away when he approached me yelling something
i yelled back at him to get the f outa here but he kept walking towards me
then i seen he was pointing a gun at me

i start delivering taco bells, kfc's and pizza huts usually around 2:00 am
if i could start later i would but some taco bells are near impossible to deliver to with a 48 foot trailer while they are open

A long time ago I had a gun pulled on me and I know someone who was soo strung out that he pulled a gun and robbed some one. You did the right thing. Your $3.00 & phone can be replaced, you can't. If some one pulls a gun, then they will do what ever it takes to get what they want. They could care less about you.

Well, I may just enjoy some Taco Bell for dinner this evening in your honor...

But not from the Taco Bell in Livonia, that's for sure.

See if you all would have let Walmart build the 24hr super store at wonderland the thug would have been there and not stalking the delivery guy.
