Ned that sucks ass, glad you are all right. who's to say what I would do. I was robbed at my dad's pharmacy by gunpoint when I was 14. I just stood there and starred at him while he screamed. He ended up taking off with a couple hundred scratch off's(lottery tickets). In all honesty it depends on the situation of the robbery.

Ned, I carry a gun most every day. Well before my CCW expired :miff: .

If it had happened to me, cought off guard and he already had the gun in my face, I would have done the same thing.

I let that happen to.. 10 days.. I had to pay a reinstatement fee..

I would of handed him my phone, as soon as he turned around, I would of put a .45 in his head..

I would of told the cops he said he was going to run 10' and shoot me..

That sucks man.

I have to take the classes again. But I don't have to go infront of the gun board.

The smart thing to do is just what you did .I have been in a gun barrle to gun barrel stand off , its not pretty .

I was the attempted victim of a robbery in saginaw once also . This guy was unarmed and was layed cold in the street . He grabed me pulling me towards him just as i took a swing . Between his efforts and mine brought a swing he thought Geroge Foreman had thrown . It was pure instinct and would not have happened that way if he had not grabed me .

Iv your not to shocked to think then think this " I want to see my family " what ever is on you is not worth it .:gman:

Ned, I probably would've done the same thing. I don't have CCW so there is no protection on my part. Give the guy you crap and let him run off. It's better than being shot, That **** hurts

Whether or not you had a gun, he did. Ya give the guy his $3 and phone and be done with it.

Is getting shot/killed worth the $3?

Are the tough guys with CCWs going to really shoot over $4? What are they going to do, the guy has the piece on you already... shoot him as he leaves? Is $3 worth going to jail for?

you did the right thing.

for the gun carriers. here's a scenario.

give him the money/phone. when he runs away, draw gun - yell "freeze!".

when he turns around then plug him in the FRONT. calmly retrieve phone (and your $3.00, and perhaps all of his cash as well)

dial 911

sleep well at night knowing another punk is off of the street.

I was gonna say the same thing lol. Regardless of how little or how much money it is, it would still piss me off to let someone just take control over me like that and take my stuff. Is $3 worth getting shot...no. I've had a gun pulled on me before, it's definately not fun. The dude turned away and that was his downfall.

Honestly I think you did the right thing. I'm just too stubborn to let someone do that to me though.

When I was in college, I was carjacked. You never saw someone get out of a vehicle so fast and get out of it's way too. Then I spent over 20 minutes waiting for the damn police to show up as I was standing on the street at 3 am. Detroit.
