I have been having some problems with my headlights lately. after about a through hour i figure the problem is that the switch for the headlighs went bad. i was wondering if anyone else has had problems with one of them before. i am going to stop by the junk yard and pick one up tomorrow, hopefully that fixes it.

i built some coil spacers of approximately 1" out of some hot rolled 3.25" steel. i think both are actually around 900 thousandths but close enough that it wont make a difference when they are mounted. should help it sit level. I was thinking of using hockey pucks a few months ago but i heard they can brake i don think that will be a problem with steel.

trans getting rebuilt under warranty. i dont know what the problem is. i dont beat it up and its only been 3 months/2,000 miles since they first rebuilt it. honestly i beat on the factory trans alot harder and it had over 160,000 miles on it? i havnt done anything abnormal and seriously took it easy since the last rebuild.

hmm, well good thing it had a warranty, paying for 2 trans rebuild in a year would suck.

nice looking spacers, ive had a homebrew set like that. MAKE sure you bore a shallow 1 1/4" hole on one side of them or else the spacer cannot sit flat on the axle beam itself.

thanks i didnt know it would also need to counter bore the spacers. you know how big the studs are i cut the holes at 3/4 because i figured too big was better than too small in this case.

3/4 should be enough clearance

i KNOW d35 studs are shorter than d28 studs...so 1" spacer may need stud extenders of you want the nut to fit on all the way since you run the d35. You will only know by trying it out, ive never done it on a 35. I think 94rangeron35's is right, i know he ran the d35 in his truck before.

went into the shop today. they still haven't fixed the transmission, its been three weeks, but they did tell me what was wrong. and that it wasn't my fault. apparently he rebuilt it and one of the parts was defective thus preventing the trans fluid from lubricating the moving parts. they said they are now trying to get the parts from their supplier so they can get it fixed for me.
