This is from a 2002 F250 SuperDuty, V-10, 3.73 ratio. Does not have calipers, but have the rotors. They are decent, but will need to be turned. (little rusty from sitting) $550

Axle is from a 2002 F-250 with the Triton V-10, and the axle ratio is 3.73
Dana part number # 611159
post #17 confirms axle with part numbers.
THIS IS NOT A DANA 50!!!!!!!!
02 was the first year for the 60 in a 250 or any srw, prior to 02 the 60 was only in 350drw and up applications. so chances are this is a 50, i have had a few and liked them, there still a strong axle
Ill check the production date on the truck tomorrow. I believe it was 10/01. So it could possibly be a 2002. Ill get a pic of the axle as well.
Are the 50's similiar in aperance? Cause this thing is gigantic. Ill run the vin with the dealer tommorrow as well, so I get the right info on here. Thanks for the input fellas.
yes very similar, the pinion nut is smaller than the 60. is the factory tag still on it? also i heard, im not sure if it is true but that some 60s have a 60 stamped on the bottom of the pig near the pinion??? i have never seen one there though.
OK....I ran the vin# thru an online decoder, and it comes back as a 2002 F250 with the V-10. But I cant seem to get the free site to tell me what axle it is.
It has an axle code C1, and that comes back as a 3.73, but still not 100% sure if this a 60. I thought the truck was a F350, but its not.
If there is a upc code with numbers on it do a google search with the numbers and it should take you to a dana site that will tell you what axle you have. I found mine on the back side of the long tube.
Here is a link to some of the info for what axles were available in what years. From my understanding, seems that the 50 was not an option in the 2002.
Confirmation has been made on the front axle.......
IT IS A DANA 60 with 3.73 ratio.
Check below links part number on axle is 611159/248 These are the Dana part number for the 60 offered in the Super Duty in 2002. Page 25 on the link. Part number is in the upper left hand corner.
Not sure if I really want to give it up now for the lowered price...LOL. Figure all the links would give the know it all's something to read.:finger:
Making a new thread for this axle, since there was confusion in the first part of the thread, about this being a Dana 50, when in fact it is a 60..........
