If all you want is a little bit of lift and don't plan on going higher, for the same price of a body lift you can buy 2" coil spacers for the front, and a lift block or addaleaf for the back.
i have no hatered for body lifts. that said i wont go more than 2" on my own truck. i think the biggest problem would be the steering shaft. Are the brake lines coiled up by the master like the older trucks? if so they will most likely be fine.might want to make sure there is slack in any harnes that goes down to the frame. your bumpers will look gay if you dont bring them up with the body IMHO. just take a look along the between the body and frame think will that streach 3 inches.
body lifts make trany removal a lot easier because you can then kinda reach the belhousing bolts.
The best thing about putting the three inch bvody lift on a Ram is that there is no need for gap guards. I have one on mine and installed it with a friend in about 4 hours. You need to know how to weld to extend the 4x4 linkage and the shifter linkage. You dont have to do anything else with the brake lines. there is a few harnesses that you need to detach from the body but thats about the hardest part. I have had no problems as far as the body lift goes and my truck has been through some shit. I do however check the body bolts every now and then and I think that is important. I highly recomend it.
