i got a friend that just dont wanna work, or do anything else for that matter.
he will get a job for a while, then constantly bitch about it. 6 months later, he quits that job.
he is usually a good guy, i have known him for years.
he calls me yesterday, and tells me he has to sell his snowmobile.
i told him you cant sell a sled in the middle of may.
he said i want you to buy it. i said i was not interested in that sled.
he said give me $2500. i told him its worth alot more than that!
he just would not take no for an answer.
he paid $12k for it in 08. it worth $5000 to $6500 on kbb right now.
i feel bad buying it for that little. anymore and i could not afford it right now.
Tell him to man the fawk up and make something decent out of himself. Good guy in general or not he needs to act like a big boy and work hard
Sled issue aside...
Have you ever said anything to him, as his friend you might be able to get through to him, sometimes all people need is some well intended critisism to see the error in their ways
Afterall "nothing's free in waterworld"
I know that has no reason to be said but I love to drop that line
I have a friend like that. 23 and lives in his parents basement, has never had a job, doesnt have a license, and doent intend to get either one any time soon.
Wtf does that mean? I'm looking for a job and taking all the side work I can get. I'm a hardworking mother fucker. I like the shit I've acquired and don't plan on selling any of it unless its to feed my family. :finger:
Unfortunately, my son is heading down this path and I really have no idea how to correct it. He gets a job and manages to get fired within a few months.
Of course, it is possible he just sucks at everything.
I got a friend like that. Been friends since 4th grade in '83. He goes from job to job, car to car, woman to woman, residence to residence and is always broke! If he has something for more than 6 months it's a miracle!
I have a couple friends like that. You can talk all you want but it really works out good in the end for me, as i have a new ps3, couple hand cannons, .22 riffles, and some cool sunglasses.
Through the miracle of facebook I recently reconnected with a long lost friend. He is 56 and is still living at home with his mom. Granted, he is a good son and she is 90, but still...
"There are three kinds of people: Those that make things happen, those that watch what happens, and those that wonder what happened"
My step dad has turned into this. Once apon a time ago when I lived at home he use to own his own trucking company, make tons of money then when his run dryed up finally its like he gave up on life completley and now my mom works 2 jobs supporting his ass. He has a job for a few months, gets fired but its never his fault....NEVER. He has every excuse in the book, at one time he was the adult..now hes just a waste of space dragging my mom down. Im not speaking to him right now because of this. He still sits at home and figures out how to spend money he didn't earn and he feels entitled to.
I grew up near the Finn Camp in Wixom, there are some hardworking craftsmen & artistic types in there and a bunch of lazy hippies. One friend has his 1st job in about 10 years, a couple more that I know haven't had a job in 10 years or more.
