My neighbor moved out, house is for sale. Hasn't mowed the grass in a month. My sub is full of perfect lawns except for this one. I've called him three times and he's said "the lawn service will be out there asap!"
well, how should I handle it? I'm thinking about mowing a pretty design into the yard. Ideas?
edit: the photo doesn't do it justice, it's knee high, especially where my sprinklers hit.
Wow, the township doesn't mess around. They will send somebody to investigate by noon, and if it is deemed to be 20" or above (which I measured, it is in some places) they will cut it immediately. If it is between 10" and 16" they will issue a letter stating the owner must cut it within 48 hours or they will cut it.
After reading this thread, I am going to stop mowing/landscaping my house.
I will also send a letter to the neighborhood telling them to "suck my cock. it's my house and I can do whatever I want to it. If they don't like they can fuck off".
yeah!
Who cares about others? The morons here that live in single wides said it's all good.
Be prepared to have a crew come out and cut it without bagging the grass clippings. Either not trimming, or doing a piss poor job at it. They don't care how it looks. They aren't going to try and match your lawn! But hey maybe I'm wrong...
If you have a dog, just extend the leash into your neighbors yard. Therefore, adventure time for the dog with less effort towards clean up on your end. Don't have a dog? Christmas is coming...
I know my township has a rule that your lawn cannot be higher than 8". But based on the other offenses I see people routinly making, the township won't do anything about it.
I've been mowing the vacant lot next to my house in White Lake for at least 10 years even when I didn't live there. Mostly to keep the bugs & vermin under control. The neighbor on the other side of it doesn't mow her lawn & dumps her cat litter over the fence onto the vacant lot. There are probably 2 cubic yards of cat crap piled up next to the fence. 5 years ago the guy wanted 32k for the lot, so I bought my parents house in Wixom instead. If he had been reasonable then I could have a pole barn up by
now. I talked the guy down to $5500 and expect to close soon, when I met him I was pissed cause there doesn't seem to be any reason he couldn't drive out from Southfield once a month to mow it. I am debating how to handle the cat crap issue, I'd really like to just throw it back over the fence onto the porch
The squatters I had on my land offered to cut my lawn to stay there, so I will just box them up with all their dogs, campers, tents and other garbage send them to live next door to you, problem solved for both of us.
However, they will end up digging a fire pit to burn off pieces of camper that cant be turned in for scrap money and then leave the frames just sitting around. Just a minor detail to insure you never have to cut the grass. :sonicjay:
well, based on the photo standing at the road it would be the one to the left. Based on my mapping abilities and my sense of direction that would be south.
Im putting an offer in at 185k. Honcho and I will run girls and meth out of it.
Of course Honcho gets 70%. You must have a partner that will put the competition out of business and keep neighbors mouths shut.
CC, do you know what the condition of the interior of the house is like? You can have out building in your sub correct? Would you mind me being your neighbor? If you don't mind, can you please PM me the address :teehee:
