I am installing new pistons on a Polaris Hurricane PWC. The WSM pistons have an arrow on the top of the piston. Should the arrow be pointing towards the exhaust or intake? Does it matter?
The piston is symmetrical except for a relief on the sides of the pistons around the pin area. The relief is offset on one side.
Ok, I found the answer. There was a small 1" square piece of paper laying in the bottom of the box the pistons came in that says "arrow towards exhaust". Thanks Tiz
Thanks Hancho, I was assuming the arrow goes towards the exhaust based on motorcycles. But I wanted to be sure so I didn't cause myself a bunch of rework. Thanks again man!
