I've been dying to get out and use my new (to me) buggy, so I put together a little road trip and hit some of the better parks close (yeah, close is relative) to where I'm living for now (Lincoln, NE). 1050 mile driving round trip - a pretty long haul, but very much worth it.
Saturday (Little Sahara Dunes):
After going to Silver Lake in Michigan dozens of times, I couldn't believe the lack of people here. There was maybe 100 vehicles on the dunes. Campground wasn't full, plenty of places to park, no line to get in.... unreal. Dunes were VERY smooth, but also very abrupt at the top and bottom. There was very little "roll" to the hills, so you really had to be careful. We made it 6 hours before the heat / humidity was all we could take.
