Default Is this a scam?

I posted a bulova watch on kijiji, Ontario area. Someone from area code 201 (NJ) said they wanted it. Convo is as follows:

Them:
Bulova, men's precisionist .Still for sale and what is the asking price??

Me:
Yes, it's still available. I'm asking $900.

Them:
Alright, we've got a deal but unfortunately i wont be able to meet up because i am presently out of City for work in the USA, i hope is real and not a scam, Am willing to pay $900 for the item and $150 in addition for the shipping to my Fiance's in oversea as a Birthday Gift, Let me know if you can help me out? and i will be paying you first via paypal ..Do you have an account with paypal

Me:
Yes I have a paypal.
I can ship from the states if that helps you out.
This is legit and not a scam. I'll be happy that someone else can enjoy the watch.

Them:
Okay thanks but i want it shipped out oversea not to me in states i will send you the shipping address once i'm done making the payment

So do text me your paypal email address including your full name on it so i can make the payment right now

Hello (Last 3 were 5 minutes apart)

Me:
Sorry at work now.
Will text later

Them:
Ok

Me:
Ok, I'm free at the moment.

My email for PayPal is
Blablabla@internetprovider.kom

My name is Matt Morris and I'm in Windsor Ontario. Where overseas is it being sent? I would definitely send it with insurance. I have to wait until Monday to ship and find out insurance/accurate shipping rates.
I'd prefer if you didn't send money until Monday when I knew an exact total.

A few hours passes.

Them:
I will proceed with the payment right now and keep checking your email address for the confirmation mail of my payment from paypal

Me:
Please wait, I don't want two or three transactions. I'll give a total for shipping and the cost of the watch and you can send payment at that point.

Them:
I have already required the shipping fee via the canada post airmail service it's just cost you 90-100$

so i make the payment of 1,050$ to your paypal account

Me:
I see that.

Them:
Did you get the email?

Me:
Yes

Them:
Okay so you will have to get it shipped out via the canada post airmail service

Me:
Ok

Them:
When will you be able to ship

Me:
Monday

Them:
Ok, have a good weekend

Me:
You too.

Them:
i want you to remove the add down now in kijiji market place okay

Me:
I will.

I looked up the email I got. It's a confirmation for $1050, it's also pending until a tracking number is received by the buyer.

the address of the purchaser is

Name: Johnson Williams
Address: Plot 22 Festac Road
City: Festac Town
State: Lagos
Zip Code: 23401
Country: Nigeria

I received another text from someone in 305 area code which is colorado. Both guys are interested in full price, no negotiation of price or shipping costs.

I wanted to sell this watch but I had no control over anything once I gave my PayPal email. The wife says don't ship until the cash is in our hands but he can always reverse charges or lie to PayPal who would side with him. Then I'd be out a watch and $900 dollars.

Nigerian ship to address? No. I would not trust that sale.

Usually you can refund the PP transaction. I would do that immediately.

Yep. Total scam. Fake PayPal email to you. I've heard of this one, specifically. Here's some things to help you from here:

Scams on Craigslist and Other Classifieds Websites

Although most online transactions are safe, you should use caution when selling items on websites such as Craigslist. Unfortunately, some people using these websites make promises regarding payments through PayPal but do not follow through with the payment. Look for common warning signs that someone may be trying to scam you: •The buyer can’t meet in person because of a number of reasons (i.e., they are a soldier in Iraq, they are a marine biologist, etc.).
•The buyer requested you send the item to their “shipping agent.”
•The buyer offered you more money than you were asking.
•The buyer asked you to send money through Western Union or MoneyGram to the “shipping agent.”
•The buyer only sends you text messages and won’t speak to you on the phone.
•If you received an email seemingly from PayPal that states you received money, look for these signs to see if the email is a fake: ◦The email does not address you by your first and last name
◦The email says the money is on “hold” until you complete an action (i.e. send money through Western Union, or click a link to submit a tracking number).

•You can easily see if you received money by logging in to your PayPal account (do not click any links within the email). If you’ve been paid you’ll see the payment in your account.
If any of the above happens to you, end communication with the potential buyer. Always remember that craigslist and other similar sites are intended for local pick up. To learn more about how you are protected as a seller, visit the Security Center.

Please forward all suspicious emails to spoof@paypal.com.

I have a question for the forum members from Canada why is it that Craigslist does not seem to be very popular in Canada?

Even though Cantadians have had government-sponsored broadband Internet since the 90s, it has mostly been used to watching pirated American TV shows. If you had to watch "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" and "Cash Cab" you would spend your time watching "Friends" and "The Simpsons" also.

It's from "Bobby's World" which was a pretty good cartoon created by a solid mediocre Canadian comedian known as Howie Mandel.

I literally got this far, and said "That's a scam" and stopped reading.

This is a scam, anyone that contacts you and says anything about being out of the area and says "willing to pay xx for item", is 100% a scam.

I never got into bobby's world. I knew of it as a child just didn't get into it.

Does anyone know how to refund the PP transactions? I've tried to do a couple different things on the app and have found I can't. I have to go to the browser

Be forewarned, I sold an item for $3k last year on EBay, paid by PayPal to an asshat in Oregon.

When I awoke from a seven week coma, after a little five month hospital stay, even though the guy gave me positive feedback on EBaY he filed for a refund through PayPal.
Because I was in a coma I was unable to respond in two weeks, I lost and am forced to eat a shit sandwich dry to the tune of three grand and the guy gets to keep the item.

Fuck EBay and PayPal!

This looser contacted me Monday morning to see when I was gonna ship it.
I said I knew he was fake, PayPal verified it. He denied it and I said I'm not taking the risk. I haven't heard back from him.

I got a hold of PayPal to see about security issues with him having my email, cell number. They said change my password on PayPal. I haven't yet and haven't had any issues pop up with my balance.

Take a dump in the box and ship it to him. Wrap it in plastic first though, so it doesn't soak through in the shippers truck.

Did you actually get money in paypal? Or was it a fake email saying you got money?

Maybe they paid with a stolen card or something, but usually if you actually get a legit paypal payment, it isn't a scam
