I was able to put one together for a total of about $480. Delton Inc build kit that comes with pretty much everything except your lower, which I found one on sale for 399. And my lower is a Spikes that I found on sale for $80.

I've upgraded a few of the basic parts, but it was a good, accurate, well functioning rifle right off the bench. Just look around for a good deal, BudsGunShop had the kit and the lower for the best price at the time.

Thanks! That's not bad at all. Could buy a kit like that, then over time upgrade some parts to make it more tacti-cool. I've always thought it'd be fun to have one to shoot at the range. Aside from that, i'd probably never use it.

I bought my S&W from Bud's, great transaction. I'll keep my eye out for a good sale

Handle? You mean the handguard?

The handguard is a Larue and is one of the best built I've seen, and won't come loose with a fore grip

Default Random Thoughts: Firearms Edition

Found a cosmetically challenged Remington Wingmaster 870 in 20g for $80.00 at garage sale last week. Metal is super pitted from being in a gun sleeve since 1980 in a Mississippi closet. Inside mechanically and inside the barrel are clean. Owner tried to clean the rust up, so Im naming the gun spot. Wood looks to be 99% and is nicely checkered. Lady purchased it, went out on one family hunt, shot a partridge with it, and put it away.

I bought an old wingmaster off a member here. 12g. From the 70's. Has some pitting but the finish seems to be untouched. Paid $120 for it I think. Gave it a good cleaning, oiled it up, and put it away. Cycles well for age, or like any other 870. Matches my other wingmaster magnum that's in near mint condition.

I'm not even a Remington shotgun guy....

Maybe I am. I don't know anymore.

Finally got around to installing the Geissele trigger. I've been missing out. It's just that much better. Groups are getting tighter!

I actually just picked up my FN15 M16A4 a little while ago. Wanted it for the nostalgia. Haven't shot it yet. Not sure if I want to lol

I dig the classic look. I am happy with my FN stuff too. I have a PS90, and my carry gun is my 5.7.

That PS90 shoots 5.7 right? I haven't really looked into those. Kind of a crazy looking firearm lol

My uncle has the five seven and that's a cool little round. Great shooting pistol that's for sure

Yes, it shoots 5.7 as well. I always thought it was the ugliest gun ever made, but fell in love shooting it. You don't even need ears on.
