have a 98 buick century, i put new pads on the front and new rotors. brakes are fine, but when i push the pedal i feel and hear a clicking noise. am told the anit lock brakes need reset?? anyone know how?
probably not abs issue, maybe wrong pads or defective, pulsation at all? possible rust behing rotor on mounting surface, causing rotor to walk making pads shift around
Did the rotors you replaced have machining marks still on them when you replaced the pad? If so, scuff the rotor, try and take some of the "turn" lines out. Think of them as threads on a bolt, or a record album. Your pad can follow them and when the pad reachs it end of travel they "pop" back to the orginal starting point and repeats the process.
