4 Cylinder Diesel Engine, engine is out of a thermal king refridgeration unit, it still has compressor attached, rolls over fine, has been sitting a little while, I don't kow alot about it, would make a great power plant, generator, or motor swap, these have a sae bell housing, and can be adapted to most automotive transimissions. $350 come and get it out of my way
the Engine has thermo king stamped on the block and valve cover, I think isuzu made these for thermo king, either way it would make a good motor for someone
on refer units they had adjustment screws both ways for idle and high RPM govener, I have owned other ones and easily adjusted them to more desirable rpm ranges, very simple adjustment I can show someone when they come to buy it
You're right that this is an Isuzu engine, it's a C201. The basic specs. for it are listed below:
Cylinders / Bore and Stroke = 4 – 83 x92
Piston Displacement = 1991cc
Firing Order = 1 – 3- 4 – 2
Compression Ratio = 20
Rating power (ps/ r.p.m) = 16/2200
This engine can be throttled, but as noted in the thread, it is set up with a governor on it that maintains an RPM for the specific load to keep the refrig. unit operating correctly. You would have to work with the governor if you wanted throttle control, but there are mechanical and electrical systems out there for that.
