I'm not arguing the weight of the D60. I'm saying the delta from a D44 is greater.

Just a quick math, assuming 60" of axle shaft = 7# difference.
Assuming 3.5 OD x 1/2"w x 50" of axle tube versus 3" x 3/8"w = 22# difference. That's 29 pounds without even considering the cast dif housing, carrier, rotors, spindles, etc.

I know my lengths may be off but it's a reference.
