Anyone have a rough country kit on a newer suspension superduty? Looking to go with a 4-6 inch lift on my 06 F250. I spoke with Jeeperz and they said they have had a lot of luck with RC kits, Top gun customz also has said they have had many happy customers. When I get on powerstroke.org everyone says there lifts are junk!? They say Icon, and PMF are the best quality. They do look like nice kits but also 3X the cost of rough country kit
I dunno, after seeing some of their "tech" I'd take their advice with a grain of salt. My personal favorite was the 10" lift block for the rear of a super duty.
lol thats funny I have been PMing the guy that wrote that thread.....BTW that block is not just a block its a traction block.....it attaches to a long arm and to help with axle wrap.
I think im going to go with the Rough country kit and see what happens. I cant justify the cost of the ICON kits.
Not sure this helps, but I had a rc kit on my wrangler and it sagged out within a year. I replaced it with a rubicon express kit and it has been great.
The brackets were of high quality, it was just the springs that were cheap. I had to replace my springs because my drop pitman arm started hitting the other steering linkages. Also, the springs sagged under everyday driving, I don't go offroad to much.
Like I said these were in a jeep wrangler yj about three to fours years ago. I swapped them out with some rubicon express and have been very happy with them. I would do some more research, there quality could have went up and rc is generally cheaper.
I have an older rc lift on a wrangler that I have had luck with. It's taken a beating. I would recommend bouncing these ideas around with Mike at Mumbly's. Just another opinion from someone that deals with this alot. Might have a good insight. Seems to know his stuff.
BDS ftw!!! as long as your the original buyer of the part they will replace any broken or bent part! i contacted bds and they are very helpful. drove down there to get new control arms i had to run to planet powersports to make the purchase (i am not the original buyer). i made the purchase went to the warehouse and picked them up. got to check out the warehouse too. :naughty:
stopped into Mumbly's and someone said, unsoliciated and joking, "when are you going to take a heat gun and take those rough country stickers off?" I said, "well, what should I get next time?" His response-"BDS." That said, I'm still happy with it.
I just bought the RC 6 inch kit for my 06 F350. The kit called for stacking blocks for the rear. Needless to say I didnt use the Blocks. I ordered a set of BDS springs. I do like the front. Seems pretty stout.
