I did that to my Mp3 player. All of a sudden I got this really weird error, tried looking it up on the internets but couldn't find it. I ended up reformatting it and it still was screwed up, then I found the error on the internets and it was simply because the internal battery was loose. Plugged it all the way in and reformatted it again with a different software called Rockbox, now it works better than ever but I still lost a crapload of songs.
me - "I need to get rid of these duplicate folders."
computer - "This file is too big for the recycle bin. Do you want to permanently delete it?"
me - "Well of course dumb ass." (clicks yes)
ME - "Woah wait. Too big? Why would it be too big with just albums worth of mu....."
ME- "OH SHIT!"
computer - "dumbass?"
Find a good un-delete program that runs in dos.Deleting items from the drive does not make them disappear,it just marks the sectors that they occupy as safe to be written over.
