After doing a lot of reading and not wanting to pay for the shackle flip, most if the sas kits require 52" springs, which package hard in a low lift application. I am hoping this packages nicer, and it should have plenty of beef.

Those are .75x1x2 blocks of ampco bronze

I made my own slider boxes too, going on the rear of my trail truck, but they're way beefier than the Lii ones you can buy. I'm using hmwv i think lol. The bronze is a great idea though. I'm gonna see how long the plastic holds up and go that route if needed. Thanks!
This truck is cool as shit too! The sas is going to put the icing on the cake for sure!

Glad to see others are using the slider boxes too, I'm excited to get some front suspension flex as well

It's always a wise idea to install some Ford parts in a rig, especially a Chevy, they need all the help they can get!

I'm pretty sure my next front suspension job will use slider boxes too.

Almost all of my builds have had ford parts in it. 8.8 in the xj, driveshaft in the 77 chevy, ford d60 in this truck, and currently planning mustang hydroboost in the kernel. Rear end of the other 46 willys will probably be a ford axle as well.

Got a wedding today, so won't get much more done. Made some beefy front spring hangers. Needed the 3.5" id

cross measured to ensure the front spacing was correct for front mounts, then referenced the axle in regards to the trans crossmember bolts to verify axle was centered. Front mounts are welded in, got some running around to do tomorrow, hope to be welding in the rear spring hardware on Friday or saturday morning.

I'd like to tow the boat to the lake sunday morning for some fishing before my wife goes to the RHCP concert. We'll see how that goes. Definitely going to need to lift the rear a few inches... and it looks like i have clearance for at least 35's now...

Think you can get by with a zero rate? Or are you going to have to go like 2-3" springs?
