what do you guys think of running a waggy dana 44 offset rear axle in the back of my pickup. I already have a built set and would run them if I could get away with no driveline vibes. You think if I ran a CV in the rear drive shaft it would be ok? I want to be able to take this on teh high way after I am done.
I run a widetrack one (63") and they are 5-6" offset. I have a 28" drive shaft, and it is near undrivable on the road because it makes my d300 chatter like it's going to explode.
A CV shaft won't help because a CV can only be offset in one plane (you have to point the yoke directly at the t-case. The only way to run it would be with a CV on each end of the shaft.
I want to drive my YJ on the road a little next year, so I have to swap my rear axle out.
like monkey said its about 5 to 6" offset. I am putting chevy springs in the rear so about 4" lift. I know people run toyota axles in sami A with the tcase off set with no problems.
