Sometime late last summer I was talking to Jim about modding his jeep and it snowballed and somehow I got in the middle of it. before I knew what was going on I agreed to build his jeep over again pretty much. The goal was lots of strength and a nice cushy ride while providing clearance for 40's in the future.
was just more pointing out the fact that the more folks drive their wheelin rigs on the street, the higher the chances of a failure and that trailering it was important.
How do you like these? I have been looking at them since I got my Jeep as I have some rust I need to cut out on my tj and these would take care of the patch work.
@JohnnyJ came over yesterday to help. We got most of the passenger side worked out. Still need to tie the A hoop cage back in and figure out how to tie in my windshield hoop. Once that side is done completely I'll switch over to the driver side.
New front fenders are not here yet.
New corner guards are ordered.
The hard part is getting the cut on the floor to follow the boat side. As it raises and lowers it gets closer and further from the outside wall. I hit it pretty good in some places and had to make multiple cuts in others. I think it will fill in good with body caulking. I have to figure out what they use. I can definitely say don't follow the directions.
