Truck owners future conversation about the log: Yup Earl, I dragged that bad boy home using only my 1/2 ton truck and a car hauler. I saved negative $6580 on my heating bill burning that log, if you factor in fixing my truck and trailer.
Question for the dumbass. How the HELL were you going to get that thing OFF the trailer if this had ever worked??? Must have one BIGASS forklift at home.
Moron.
Can't tell what kind of tree it was, but give it a rough density of 45 lb/ft^3, assume that piece is 5' in diameter and 10' long and cylindrical. That's 8800 lb. and I bet I'm pretty conservative in that estimation. And the way he loaded it it's pretty well ALL tongue weight... HAHAHAHHAAH.
That was great. I wish I could have been there to watch this in person. I bet you were just going, "wait for it, waaaiiiit for it...bam..." and then you fell over laughing hysterically.
i towed 4.98 tons of rock in a double axle trailer before with my half ton dodge with WAY to much tongue weight, It was all it could do, im glad it didnt break in half!!! there is no way i would even try to haul that log... I bet that log is at least 10 tons!
This is the closed off section between fulton and climax is it not?
When is it going to be "Super Closed" When they tear it up for that culvert bridge thing.
only 8,800 lbs? sheez thats why you buy a ford ive had well over 6,000 prob closer to 7,000lbs in the bed of my F-150 and it didnt break nothing! see
and who cares if you bend the fenders on the trailer better than bending you frame aint it? i would think fenders on your trailer are a lil easyer n cheaper to fix than your frame
Chevy tough huh. I hauled a trunk about that size on my trailer along with about a cord or just under in the bed 2 weeks ago. Loaded it with a loader and the back tires would come off the ground if he was not careful. But mine was in a f350. Some people.
