After adjustments, the route will either be 71 or 80 miles depending on:
A) How long it takes us to get to the "optional" portion that we can cut out if we're running late
B) Receipt of our final piece of written permission before the event. (Everyone say a prayer that it comes in. It would add a really nice section of trail to the route)
Even though we've had to avoid any Federal Forest Roads, we have put together a GREAT ride!
Oh! Before I forget, I ran the route in my '79 F150 Highboy, so full sized rigs WILL fit.
HOWEVER, I don't give a crap about my paint job! :teehee:
IF you have nice paint and want to keep it that way, I HIGHLY recommend you give it a good coat of quality wax before you come out. Some of those old Township owned roads are getting a little overgrown. Some brush rubbing down the sides of larger rigs should be expected. Don't get me wrong, it's not like they're quad trail width, just a little narrow.
Just pmd mzjg, I have two rigs coming out with two people in each. This looks to be like a great time with a great bunch of people, for an awsome cause. I do plan on towing my rig, my buddy is driving his. Just wondering how to get to minibeast place for parking, as long as there is still room? The wife and I are looking forward to meeting a bunch of you guys, see ya there!

Thanks! Its always fun to wheel with new people,we're looking forward to meeting you too.
I went on a test run with Trail_Fanatic today... the ride is going to be GREAT!
I'm working on "over flow" parking, I'll post the info on that as soon as I get the OK.
See you next Sunday. :woot:
Muskegon_ZJ_gurl, Mini Beast, Greasyhands, curbdog17, joe&jeep, Freak, hotwired, rjvander, Moles, Trail Junkie, upchuck and WHOLE LOTTA new folks to meet.
OK- so after the great ride in the woods this weekend, how much pavement time will there be? Mine is alergic to it.... like 35 MPH MAX of I get a realy nasty wobble. I'll try to get it toed out just a little before then to help.....
Also, the boy may be with us after all. Does someone need a riding partner? He's 15 and not much trouble..... The wife will be with me and he is going to get pretty cramped locked up in my back seat if he does tag along.

There are about 9 miles of pavement to get to and from the trails, but there are also several places where we will have to hit a couple of miles of it to get from one trail section to another too. Not counting the 9 miles at the beginning and end, there are about 21 or 22 miles of it sprinkled here and there throughout the day. A couple of those are 55mph, but most are 25.
We only have an hour scheduled for Mr. Grey's Hole (and we still might run a little past our alloted time for the run) so you'll have to work fast this time! :teehee:
Trail Fanatic is working on this today and Friday as well.
If you're intrested in getting a sneek peek of the route this is your chance!
Send him (or me) a personal message if you're able to help.
Thanks!
