Mine are really bad....it bottoms out on the rock hard el cheap bump stops so hard that it bends stuff every time you hit any sort of bump at any speed. I have confidence in the leafs....mine just need some tweaking

Truck worked well at rocks and valleys Saturday. I have concerns that the driveshaft may be hitting the oil pan, however i painted the pan prior to Saturday and checked it when i got home and not a scratch in the paint so i don't know....maybe it is doing it on hard, square landings on maybe what i am seeing on the pan happened when the link broke.

Hopefully i ran round up some cash and make some minor suspension tweaks....i wanna try this racecar stuff

We had fun. I hung it up pretty good on winch hill and had to beat on it pretty good to get it free...held up fine.

Brought home the first piece of its replacement today. I am gonna keep tinkering with this truck but ultimately i want a buggy. This 05 super duty 60 was destined for scrap so i saved it for a whopping 50$.

After RBOR today, i can say with certainty the driveshaft hits the oil pan lol. Gotta work on that.

Had fun running around silver lake Saturday. Truck does ok...i played with the suspension some and it certainly helped, but it's still terrible. Unfortunately, suspension tuning is something i just can't grasp no matter how much i read. The truck just blows through travel like a fat kid through cake. It also needs more power. Ok, it does no t need it, i want it....we have i newish escalde 6.2 at work i am gonna start paying on. It may end up in this rig, it may go in the next one....time will tell.

Starting to look at this thing. I want to race the entire rbor series this year but the suspension, specifically the rear is fucking terrible for anything other that slow speed trail riding. My budget is super thin do to having to pay for my wedding this year (what the hell was i thinking lol). My current plan is air bumps up front and some minor spring rate changes, the rear i am thinking i will build a new leaf pack and better shocks. I follow a few prerunner pages on face book and you can buy used bypasses fairly reasonable, most of them from leaf spring rigs. I have a friend who races an ftoy with leafs and bypasses and it rides awesome so i am kinda leaning hard that way. Linking the back just isn't an option.

Ordered a pair of remote resi fox's for the rear. Do to some unfortunate health issues ($$) on top of paying for a wedding that is the extent of my spending for the year. I have some poly bumps that I believe will be better than what I have so I will throw those on. Also gonna cut the bed up so I can mount the shocks as vertical as possible.

New shocks showed up today, install should be pretty straight forward....looks like I can reuse my current axle tabs, cut a hole in the bed and build a simple upper mount

Also changed the rear different fluid. It's been 3 years now on cheap gears....everything still looked new

It seems to have survived rbor today. It/I are still terribly slow but it does handle way better with the new shocks
