I go in for surgery Friday morning to have my chemo port put in my upper chest. Will be in GR at 7.30 am and then meeting with the Oncologist at 1.15 pm for what i hope is a beginning of the end of cancer. This port will allow me to have my blood tested and my chemo administered without being poked a hundred times a week. I know i have a long road a head of me but i know i can beat this shit. Thank you all for your support. As i type this my son Cole is sitting next to me waiting to watch jeep videos on youtube with me.
I have already found this out the hard way. I had nurses on multiple occasions in mayo bend needles on the back of my hands due to my skin being to tuff. Sissy nurses.
Feeling crappy for me is like being hit by a Mack Truck!!!
I go for my 4th Chemo treatment at Lemmon-Holton Cancer Center in Grand Rapids a week from tomorrow.
I was given 4-6 months to live on the low side maybe up to a year if lucky. I was put on a Clinical Trial for Melanoma. 1 of only 70 people acrossed the U.S.
Chemo once every 3 weeks and a Clinical Trial pill every day. It is Kicking ASS!!!
2nd C.T. scan shows everthing is shrinking.
So Fullsize keep a positive attitude and keep fighting. :woot:
My mom finished her year of Chemo 2 month's ago, she still has another maintenance medicine she has to get every other month, but she's doing great :thumb:
