I bought a 20 oz tub of airsoft bbs and put about 5oz per tire for my 33" coopers. I drive freeway every day and have had zero issues. The only time it shows is if you hit a significant bump you get a little shudder as they shift and adjust. That, and you can hear them as you stop at a light with the windows down.
So I just mounted two 33 BFG at's and added aprox 5 oz of plastic bbs. I threw it on the balancer. They didnt balance out at all. Should I add more weight like the tire machine says? They were only off by a couple ounce's
I have tried this on my 35x12.50 MTR's and they did not work. I though that damn dash board was going to shake apart on the highway. Belle tire got it balanced right with weights. I tried it again on a smaller set of 31's and it was not right either. I had then rebalanced conventionally. I tried airsoft pellets then the stuff that Belle tire sells. It was not really noticeable till around 60mph.
Thats kinda what I was thinking. I did try and spin them up to speed before closing the lid. I have two more to mount and I will let you know how well it works out.
Can I put to much weight in them? My last set of BFG at's took about 6oz+ -of weight on the outsides on the rim. Also thinking about doing this to my Pro comps
My 35s I had were balanced with bb's not sure how much was used as I got them used as a package deal. they rode fine down the road. I knew they were there too, every time you stopped with doors off or windows down you could hear them rolling around.
