I cant believe that Select Comfort people are so shady. We purchased our bed just before Christmas and tried to sleep on it for 30 night trial. My wife can not sleep on the thing we tried contacting the store and they instructed us on what to try and watch the video instructions online. After the 30 nights ended i called to return the bed and was told that was not an option for my bed. (Fine Print)
There are no returns or exchanges on the FlexFit adjustable bases, closeout or demo bed models. No returns will be accepted on Sleep Number® Special or Limited Edition beds. If, within 45 days of delivery, you are not satisfied, you are eligible for a one-time exchange to another Sleep Number® bed. You must contact customer service to authorize this exchange. You will be responsible for any price difference as well as shipping costs.
So... Because i got it on sale instead of retail my hands are tied. I can exchange it for 1 model up but will the 1/2" of memory foam make the difference.
30 night trial my ass now what do i do with a 1400 bed that my wife refuses to sleep on.
Check the fine print of your credit card agreement. Some credit cards give you more return options than the merchant does. That is assuming you paid with a credit card.
I might just buy a memory foam topper for it. It has 1.5" now. The option is to pay 300 more for the 1/2" upgrade and i still need to pay return shipping on what i have. I don't understand how people can sleep on these things. If its too soft it feel like I'm sleeping on a Colman camping mattress and if its too hard it supports better but is uncomfortable.

We put a 1" on top of ours and it helps. More would be better, but just put the stuff they sell at target, ect on top. I paid $600 for a queen 2 side model that was a refurb (all is new except bladders and pump) and its been great. What on earth would you pay $1400 for? Of course this was about oh, 5 years ago...
i slept on one of these in a hotel...it was the absolute worst night i ever had...couldn't sleep a wink...
you can keep the sleep number...i'd take a night on the couch before another night on a sleep-number
Yeah, my wife talked me into that 30 day trial - I found out I was heavy enough for some of my body to bottom out on the base, unless I kept it inflated enough to make it like sleeping on the floor. What a pile of crap. At least they took it back, but they did not make it easy. Just an expensive camping mattress if you ask me.
