This started off in the sled season thread. So I figured I would start a official thread. We are shooting for the weekend of January 15th thru the 17th depending on snow conditions. We can meet up friday night at a local establishment and go over the ride on friday for what we are going to do Saturday. I am thinking we can meet at the bar in Lovells friday night? Anyway it looks like there is a group of 5-6 started. I personally will have 1-3 guys with me.
I just got invited to the National xcr shootout in linden mi in feb.
xcrs from all over, from stock to pro mod.
Should be lots of fun.
My carbs looked good inside.
The Needles were set way wrong, was the issue.
Its getting new black thunder cat slides.
And being re jetted to .400 mains.
tps voltage was slightly off too.
It should really wake it up.
Might get a little clutch work too.
10-64 weights and an almond spring, would b a big improvement.
I considered a small down gear.
doubt I could make it hook up with more power at the track.
so I did not go that route.
If I go to a bigger track, studs would b a tight fit.
dont wanna wipe out a cooler.

Its gonna be pretty quick.
Got my sled back.
Had the carbs done, got a little clutch work done too. Should really wake it up!
I figured early season conditions would b bad, so I left my old carbides and hyfax.
I will b home for christmas.
Gotta install a dash bag, an ac to dc power converter, a 12v power plug, and power for my heated shield. Then it should b good to go!
Btw would you guys be apposed to doing the weekend before or after the 15th? Reason i ask is my wife setup my sons 3rf birthday party on the 16th. This is dependent on snow of course.
Nitro Dave where do you live? I'm just a little north of you... Maybe we could meet up on the trail this year and do some wheeling. There us also a wheeling club out of kalkaska/bear lake area called broken compass off-road club
My vote is for a family rated ride/ 2 track clown around... Not too much into the fast trail ridding anymore due to the weekend racers... I have more fun just enjoying and exploring small trails and 2 tracks. I still use the groomed trails when not really busy to get to a destination. But open to what ever the group wants.
I probably will not be available the last weekend of January due to work.
I am up for a family friendly ride. I won't ride with people that drink and ride. I am all about avoiding the idiots on the main trails on the weekends. During the week ill ride the main trails .
