Getting a bit bored with this.
156k'ish miles, find an exact number later when I get to the garage..
4.0L straight 6/aw4 trans.
Np231 with sye
3.5" lift from fabtech springs. Put them on last fall, 5-6k miles tops
New rough country shocks with the lift
1" prothane body lift.
5/8" rear boomerang shackles
33x12.5 eldorado sport mtz's
Hard top/full hard doors
Brown dog block side drivers motor mount (ties into 7 bosses on block instead of the weak factory 3)
1" motor mount lift
Swing away tire carrier with 33x9.5 spare
Removed track bars
New rocker guards installed...not pictured yet.
New brake hard lines from master to wheel cylinders in the rear
New brake hard line from mc to passenger front.
Have a home made hardtop hoist with a hand crank winch that will go with it.
Bought this a few years ago, completely stock. It was a 2.5 auto, but that sucked . Swapped in the 4.0 a few months later. Drove it for a while then decided I wanted to lift it. Drove it through the summer, rocks out in the snow of course. Never taken it offroad at all, just driven to work and such. Was my dd all summer, only drove my Cherokee when it was going to rain
The bads.
Motor has typical 4.0 lifter tick on start up. Goes away after a few seconds.
Front fenders have rust
Windshield frame rusted, have a good one just needs a windshield.
Small bit of rear frame rot, rust chopped out and plated...will show the pictures.
Some body rust, typical jeep spots
Typical yj squeaks and creaks
Needs front shaft lengthened since the aw4 swap
Stock axles, 30/35 with 3.73 gears since it was originally a 4 cyl auto.
I forgot to put it in the ad, but there's a crack in the outer jacket of the block. I was told it was welded and jb welded over, but never chipped the jb weld off to check the weld. Maybe once a month or so I notice a small spot under the spot where it weeps after cool down. Size of a soda can bottom maybe. Doesn't overheat or lose anything while driving at all. I generally daily drive it over the summer and haven't had a problem in the year and a half or so I've owned it. Drive it on all the hottest days last year.
Haven't seen a spot under it in the past few months. Doesn't happen all that often.
And the pictures:
The before picture of the rear frame
Now, plated on both sides and bottom.
Rear tailgate bottom is rusted. Made this little armor/cover up for it.
Thinking $3500 obo
