The movie is not suppose to come out for a while (2012 i think). I liked the movies but i don't see this one being a hit without director Sam Raimi or Tobey Maguire.
I thought they were pretty good movies. I have heard some people say they hated them. Its not going to be the same now. I hope it doesn't end up like American pie series. Those sucked with all the random nobody characters and "Stiffer" impersonator's.
well of all the live action comic book spinoff movies, the spiderman trilogy has by far been the best. especially the first two. 3 lost it a bit with the introduction of parker's attitude change. furthermore for those who never followed the venom story through the comic, that may have been to much for general audiences. the venom line adds too much unfamiliar complexity.
I do agree that 4 will be the worst if they don't drum up something great.
although it can't be any worse than that of all the other "lame comic sellout"
crap that Stan Lee pumps out of hollywood.
every the hulk
iron man (the comics were never that good, why would you make a movie)
fantastic 4
xmen
every punisher movie has been a complete whore to the original character
daredevil had promise as a good series, but that was a trainwreck
ghost rider
the thing I cannot stand about lee and marvel is that he whips out these story lines
that feature the beginning of the character to get the audience familiar then goes nowhere with it, and moves onto another character.
imo Marvel pumping out lame ass movies is just as bad as DC not doing anything with their characters in the form of live action.
DC characters are so much more interesting than the Marvel Mutant Drama Queens. A series with The Question or Wonder Woman or Green Lantern would be sweet.
Could even do an evil side version with grodd controlled secret society.
I just have to say, I liked the x-men movies beacuse of hugh jackman and patrick stewart, they were great actors that really made the characters believeable, everyone else just sucked
and I do have to agree, a series with the justic leaguers would be awsome (hawkman, wonder woman, GL, the question, crimsion avenger, captan america, captan marvel...the list goes on)
what I didn't like about the xmen endeavors was that 1. Patrick stewart was too good a choice to portray xaivier. imo he was never that interesting it the print form. 2. they pushed the wolverine character way to much toward the "massive chip on my shoulder" direction and some intrigue was lost. 3. why not more of a plot line when colossis was a team member? the special effects would have been great and he (as a character) has some good personal depth and history.
as for D.C. a Justice League movie would be too large a feat to pull off successfully if you ask me. It seems it would have no alternative but to have a rushed plot with weak development of the members. Plus it would undoubtedly be hard to overcome the Bruce Timm, Dwayne McDuffie writing and portrayal in the JL & JLU animated series. If there were a live action, WB would most certainly have to recruit those two to make it of any sort of success. even if asked I am sure they would deny the impending failure.
everyone should watch the D.C. Timm/McDuffie animated items as they are fantastic.
I have always felt for D.C. they should start a series with a character and introduce other characters in that series as duo teams or plot alliances.
though batman is a consistent box office draw, I am tired of him and superman in the form of live action.
even some crossover character teams would be good to see.
Question/Huntress
Batman/Zatanna
Hourman
Dr. Fate
Kimiyo Hoshi (Dr. Light)
Fire & Ice
Morgan Lefey
This makes you sound retarded. So you expect them to make a movie for the mass market without any character introduction whatsoever? There haven't been a ton of other Iron Man movies, so an introduction was necessary for those that haven't read the comics.
would I like to see big dollars spent on a movie that few people understood? sure. but that isn't going to happen. does that mean it's bad? no, it just doesn't interest me.
Stan Lee has a goal with all these movies. to make money. I am fine with that. but in order to do so he must alienate the tried and true base. This doesn't bother me either since I am not spending much of my money to view it for $2 from family video.
Even still, a film based on some of the more obscure aspects of a hero (or villan for that matter) would still offer a bit more substance for viewers. Perhaps making a series where they explain the origin in the 3rd or 4th installment. these are all just thoughts and opinions from someone who enjoys the printed medium. I am not offering them as fact.
stark as a character simply doesn't interest me. in the comics when I started to lose what little interest I had in him, the costume changed to the red and silver variety but little else did.
I don't feel it is retarded to not be enamored with iron man. Stripes in the D.C. universe is similar and he holds my interest even less.
