That JD could easily have been 850hp, but he was not using much throttle or there would have been black smoke belching out of it and parts flying out from under it.
Yeah, not to mention that when load is applied to the draw bar it takes weight off the rear wheels of the JD..That is where there is a standard hitch height in tractor pulls. I still thought it was awesome.
I find it hard to believe it was a diesel even with the black smoke. My first reaction when I saw the video was "who puts a gas engine in a diesel tractor?" Seemed like a huge downgrade.
