Well I got on the scale lastnight and WOW I'm super fat (318.6lbs).so today is the day I start doing something about it! Im only going to drink water(also some beer):teehee: watching what I eat and doing some biking to start.
I will be happy if I can get down to 220-240 range !
Week 1-312.2lbs=-6.4
week 2-302.8lbs=-9.4
week 3-300.1lbs=-2.7
week4-298.0lbs=-2.1
Week5-295.2lbs=-2.8
Week6-293.8lbs=-1.4
Week12?-284.0lbs
Ugh... past 3 weeks have been to the gym twice... eaten crappy food and have gained back like 3 lbs... I need to get motivated.. Stupid vacation through my whole schedule out of wack.
Good luck Scott! Just try to limit the carbs, sugar, and fat. When you eat carbs only eat whole grain. Eat turkey breast, chicken breast and fish for protein. Hit the gym and you will turn fat into muscle very quick. Diet is everything
Just started dieting and working out last week, been going to the gym 5 days a week and the shortest that I have been there was 1:15. Cut out all pops and sugary drinks (except the adult slushies at the pig roast) really quit my beer intake.
Eating a lot of salads, eggs, tuna and chicken.
Not really sure what I weigh now or what I started at (you would think the gym would have a scale) but I feel 1000x better and the belt is already one notch tighter lol.
The real challenge will be getting to the gym 5 days a week once school starts again.
I found that you tend to lose your appetite when the better half decides she wants out of the marriage... Was close to 220 at a shade over 6' tall... Checked the scales yesterday, after about 2 weeks of eating just because, and I am a shade over 200... Haven't seen under 200 lbs in 23 years, since before I went to college... My new goal, to get under 200, started with setups and pushups before bed, so I should be toned and slim in no time...
Nope, just hoping to take a really big poop hahahaha Reverse enema? :teehee:
And holy crap! Jeff I wouldn't have thought you were that big when we had lunch that one time last year. Dang! That right there is encouragement that it can be done!
I just read this entire thread and I figured ill post up!!
First I want to say good job to all you guys and gals dropping weight!!!
Secondly I too have been working hard at weight loss!!
In February after my breakup I realized I weighed the most I ever have, I have several health issues and being over weight wasn't making them any better. I started to alter my eating habits and work out regulary, drink more water and sleep more.
While progress has been slow going its going none the less as of two weeks ago I'm down 40lbs, while I still want to lose alot more I'm happier with myself than I've been in a very long time. The success I've had so far with weight loss has even driven me to be healthier in other ways, I've cut nearly all caffiene out of my diet and I am now working hard at quitting smoking!!
Keep it up everyone its amazing what you can do if you set your mind to it!!
I should also state, that after losing the weight my sleep apnea is now gone. Not verified by a doctor, but all symptoms are gone, snoring is gone, can sleep without cpap machine and still function the next day, which i couldn't before.
My loss has slowed down but still going. I believe I have started to build some muscle though so that may be why the loss has slowed down.
I had a good moment a few days ago, working with some folks I haven't worked with since December, they didn't recognize me at all when they first saw me. Was a good feeling.
I haven't lost any more weight in the last couple months (gained a little actually) but I am down to a 36" waist. I also can now run the two mile warm up for my cross fitness training with out going into a fetal position while sucking wind.
Holy crap. You must be really short if that's your weight goal.
<--- significant loss has plateaued- time for new goals. Set new goal to get body fat at or below 11.9% (currently sitting at ~15%) while maintaining (at minimum) or adding lean mass (preferred). Scale weight is holding steady at 230#. My 36w pants are loose. 34s might be on the horizon.
Yes, I weighed 9 lbs the last two weeks and my goal is 45 lbs :fish:
