Fittergirl and I talked over the weekend and realized that Bruce will not be able to set up the chili run this year (though we do hope we will lure him and his chili out to the run:naughty. So after talking about it with a lot of people this weekend the decision was made to move it to Rocks and Valleys to increase statewide participation. So here are the details:
This is not and has never been an official event. This is a gathering of some friends and there will be some chili provided.
We will be at Rocks and Valleys around 10 am on March 2nd.
We will have a few pots of chili brewing and I do have some of Bruce's infamous ghost chili's so we will have some of those for the people who would miss them.
Rocks and Valleys is helping us with generators for the crock pots and may be able to help us with some tables. We will need some easy up canopies, and maybe some extra tables. I would also suggest people bring camp chairs for sitting around and enjoying chili. Feel free to bring food to share also if you would like.
This is a week away. I am buying my supplies today. My chili will be good for anyone with allergies or that is gluten free too. I promise it's more delicious than that sounds
Harrison looks like it's getting some snow this week so it should be good fun.
I am so excited!
Garrett wont be riding with me as my roommate snagged up my passenger seat and he's going home to get his blazer ready, but I'm sure he could be persuaded if some one had an open seat. But Walt and 4 or 5 of his buddy's will be there.
I found out about this thru the tri city trail riders. I was telling my wife about it after my son went to bed, I said “too bad we are having his birthday party on that Saturday” the little bugger was awake and wanted to give up his birthday party just to go. We moved his party to Sunday so we can go to our first off road event. I don’t know who from the tri city trail rides will be there but my son and I will be celebrating his 7th birthday there. We plan on bringing cornbread muffins.
I was just thinking a pot of coffee might be nice for people who drink coffee. I don't drink it and I think we have a two cup coffee maker for guests... like a hotel
We will be there with chili a Jeep may not happen though. Kims still not fixed`from Snowfari. The parts are ordered and on the way, just depends on delivery from cali.
Just take it easy and you should be fine. The "Easy" trails should be extra fun with the snow that we have had. All the trails change d-ramatically with good snow/ice cover and makes it a blast!
My jeeps sitting in the impound lot at the local shop waiting on another part. If it gets here by Thursday they should have time to align it on Friday.
My chili is done.. and mm I may or may not have just had a bowl.
