Default Rubicon Owners--Axle Lock Q?

I just brought the TJ into the dealer to work on the front axle lock. The issue I was having was that with the front axle lock engaged the dash light would continue to blink and not turn solid. The dealer confirmed/with my thought that the front axle was indeed locking. So, the dealer replaced the dash board indicator light. Since the repair, the light will remain steady/solid. But since it is winter, I have not been able to rock crawl with it only snow banks to further test it. Since doing so with the snow banks, the indicator light will blink when climbing up the bank. I then contacted the dealer and told them this and they stated that "this is normal, that the flashing light is just telling me that front wheels are losing traction. During throughout this time my rear axle is also locked with a steady indicator light throughout. So, I'm asking the question, is this indeed normal (the light to flash) or are they givinig me a bunch of BS. The TJ is still under warranty.

This may be a stupid question, but have you read your Owner's Manual?

A blinking light is not normal. My 04 never blinked only when I axle wasn't locking.

I no longer have that light working in mine because of 60's I installed. Sounds to me like the switch in the diff is not working right. They are known for having this problem with the switch. If you have the switch on in the dash and the front axle is locked but the light is flashing, it's stuck. They will flash till you drive a few feet to let the locked engage or after you turn the locker off it will flash till it unengage as well. Hope that helps.

You'd be surprised at the number of people who don't read it, though.
