if you think that puppy is real, then you need better speakers.

How come the yips stay at the same volume as the puppy flys 50'? Because the guy next to the cameraman was making the yips.

It's still not funny. I've hunted for years and killed my share of stuff. I've seen things run over, deer hit by cars, all that stuff. But, a loss of life should never be made fun of.

just a note..not trying to jump anybodys shit here ...

unfortunately, them lil things do die in combat..as is natural they dont know how to shut the hell up..and its either them draw attn to your position or you off the lil shit and worry about it later..as is natural the soldier needs to mentaly deal with shit like that post mission.. in combat ussualy by making fun of it. (i didnt watch the vid.*just read you alls cliff notes).. one of the members of our sniper section had to off a puppy while on a mission one time..to this day we still address him as "lassie's super secret sniper killer" and we had a good bit of fun with it while there......in his favor though he humped that dead dog on his ruck back to camp where we gave it a proper burial.

sick shit happens....... soldiers find odd ways to deal w/ in the boredom of combat..

I didn't watch the video because I don't want to deal with the vision of a puppy dying. I understand your point of the dog not shutting up, I would have killed the dog too if it was a matter of life or death. Why did they have to video it though?

one of these days i'll sit down and tell you about some of the fucked up shit we did while we where over here..just to entertain ourselves. ..imagine this ....nothing like going on a shitty mission...seeing something sick that grinds against your very moral fiber..then returning to base and having nothing to do but think about it until the next time you go back to work..they say combat is 90% boredom 5% busy work and 5% actual bullets flying for you average soldier. somewhere somehow you have to deal with it and get on with life..otherwise you bring it home and then everyone at home suffers..(remember the 7 or 8 wives who died at Fort bragg early in the war on terror, after their husbands returned home from combat in Afghanistan?)..

i am willing to wager that something similar happened during a not so boring moment of combat that these guys recently experienced...post mission as they are coming down off the adrenaline and they begin to deal w/ what they saw or did...somehow they decide to recreate whatever they saw..hence this fuked video....its really just a way of coping.

please note...i am not giving an end all excuse for soldiers out there..there are plenty of useless shitheads running around doing stupid shit just for the fun of it. so that possibiility still exists.. this concept just struck a cord since we regularly had to deal with yelping lil puppies giving away our hide sites. on the flip side i have great stroy to tell about the quietest adopted sniper /recon dog ever. got pictures of her here somewhee too..

Grifter, Im no "ranger" but I am in the military and I understand under certain conditions that we may have to pull the trigger to keep to keep our butts safe. These douch-bags took a puppy and threw it off a cliff and laughed about it. If they slit its neck to conseal their position I would be cool with it but dont video tape it laughing about it. These kids are punks and yeah, I have done some dumb shit in the Air Force but this discredits the military and frankly pisses me off. These guys may have PTSD but be enough of a man to deal with PTSD through therapy, not crap like this. This just gives the damn liberals another reason to bash our military.

Grifter: I agree with you. Some times you have to do some really stupid stuff to get by and deal. I have had friends that have done some really dozy stuff that they have told me. You just look at them and say you did what? And just shake your head and move on.

72_k20: Yes it was stupid to tape it and get on the net. But in this day and age of instant every thing they most likely just sent it to some one and then it got posted. But all in all it does suck that it got posted.

Mudd Jumper, I am in the same boat as 72_K20 in saying that it was stupid to video tape it. I don't care what you're going through. It could be true that they just sent it to one person and It spread. I don't get why you would send it at all. Were they showing off to thier parents? Thier Friends? What would be the point to sending something like that to some one you know? If I got an E-mail from one of my friends like that I'd seriously consider what kind of relationship I'd keep with them.

I'm not Discrediting what you've done or what you're saying. I'm just curious why you would video tape something you're trying to deal with? ya Know? They might have had to kill a Puppie or something to keep thier postion (which I udnerstand) and then had to throw a puppie off a Cliff to deal with that. () But wouldn't video taping it just make is harder to forget because of the fact you can watch that tape anytime and bring back those memories of what you were going through that made you do that?

Well I did not say it was right at all but alot of stuff happens when you have to live and deal with war for long periods of time. Depending on what "type" of friends you have and been through together. Now a buddie of mine was in the air force and seen alot and did alot. And we have worked together were it was betting on each other (bounty hunting in the "D") so it is a little warped. Was it bad judgment to tape it and send it yes am I sorry to see it happen yes but can I understand it in the confines of the situation yes. I hope this helps
