It probably would have fit him a helluva lot better than it fit me! I got tired of rubbing my knees on the dash and my head in the softtop!

LOL - well, I have been away from the scene for a long time. Back then it was a good series that made sense and worked good.

I am a member of a Reformed church in Kalamazoo. I was raised reformed and have attended reformed churches my whole life. Christian Reformed is a 100 yr old offshoot of the reformed church. You can pm me w/ any questions if you want and Ill answer them as good as I can.
Try out a CRC if you have one nearby. What's it going to hurt? Try out a few diff churches around you and find one that fits. You are the only one that can determine where you are in your relationship with Christ and therefore, the only one who can determine what kind of church you will fit in at. Find one that challenges you to grow in your relationship with Christ, and teaches you and your kids the foundations of a real relationship with Christ. The building, the name on the front and the rules are trivial when compared to how that particular church helps you grow in your personal faith.
I dont agree with everything the Reformed Church teaches in its doctrine, but I've found that my church is a good outlet for me when it comes to missions, and my pastor is both a close personal friend and a faithful leader. Works for me and my family.

It is not easier said than done. A church that is sound in faith and practice stands out among others, and you know it when you see it.

We are not in disagreement, I have suggested to run and hide from a church with false beliefs or false practices (which would be the definition of hypocricy).

Nail was just hit on the head.

Here is an exmple: Lets say a particular denomination has a view on baptism that is slightly different from what you believe, but it is not a matter of apostacy or hypocricy, it is only a slight difference. WHO CARES!? Is this church advancing the Kingdom of God? Are they obedient to the scriptures? Are they leading the congregation towards greater things in Christ?

If you feel like taking a drive to Grandville, check out http://www.marshill.org/
They are huge, which is not necessarily a good thing, but I like how they do things, have been there a few times.

If you're throwing a party, make sure there's witnesses or your beer will disappear

{Soapbox}Well, I think you're going to have a problem finding a Hypocrite-free church. They are filled with people that Try and strive to the teachings of Jesus Christ but at the same time struggle with the fact that they are human and have sin inherent in their lives and are surrounded by that sin on a Day To Day basis. If you really want your son to Learn the morals of the church You're just going to have to deal with the fact that we are all sinners and cannot possibly meat the Expectations that God has set before us with Out Christ. {/End soapbox}

As far as Denominations go, It doesn't matter. Like many have said, Find a Bible Believing church that preaches the word of God. In my opinion, the reason that we have Denominations is because of the simple fact that people have tried to put God in a box and that just can't be done. The trend in alot of Denominations is to use less doctrine and more Jesus. My dad is a United Methodist pastor, He does not run his church like a UM church. He runs it like a Jesus Centered church. The focus is on the people and not the Doctrine. I'm sure you can find one in your area if you actively search for one. Marshill is a Good church; There's also Cornerstone church and Resurection Life (or something Similar). My brother and wife go to Cornerstone and both mentor younger Kids and are active in thier youth program. There are Multiple Churches that Are great for the Whole Family, not just the kids. Good luck, and You'll be in our Prayers.
