hmmm. I guess the oil compamies found a way to stop us from making to much alternative energy. They must have realoxed gas dropped from 3.29 a gallon down to 3.19 up here

holy crap thats scary!!! those blades can be 80-100ft long. there went a couple mil up in smoke.

I wonder if it was a test to see what would happen if the control system failed - hence the camera watching it.

I would have to think that is the case. Those units are equipped with overspeed shutdown safety devices.

I LOL at the comment about the oil companies finding ways to stop us from making alternative energy. Very little oil is used in making electricity. I would blame the coal companies if anyone.

I just found an article about this on engadget. It's shutdown device failed. Here's the quote.
