You don't have vacuum in your intake manifold.

your getting 36 stock?
From a dead stop I can hit 35-36 momentarily. It won't hold there, but I don't really want it to. BOOM. :tonka:

do these have a wastegate stock? both my dads and my buddies fords have what I understood to be a wastegate that "closes" during warm up. sounds like exhaust being forced down a narrow tube when it idles up to 1000 only during warm up though.

mine only idles up, none of that other sound.....excuse the dumb question, never dealt with cummins before.

just like how I found out that I dont have glow plugs, it is actually an intake heater :tonka:

ok after some reading, I see that I have an electronically controlled wastegate.....I wonder if the Edge EZ isnt allowing the gate to open/close.....

I think I am going to swap the vac/boost gauge out for a boost only gauge

Yep, no vac, there is no throttle. The amount of fuel injected controls the engine speed.

But yeah, good idea gettin' the higher boost gage. You may end up addicted . . .

Take care,
Phill

His truck is far from stock. I assume the head is studded and o-ringed to keep parts from blowing thru the hood.

talked to the company where I ordered the gauges, and they said no problem, that they would swap out the gauge for me, I just have to pay for shipping and the difference

Sweet . . .

I have not dynoed it yet.

I am hoping to get to Spring Fling at Merchant Automotive this year and see what she'll run. I do know that I won't do (m)any more 3rd gear launches . . .

Hmmm, sorry Justin, I didn't mean to steal your thread. . .

How's the Jeep working?

Take care,
Phill
