The reg 6.0L had 353hp. Doubt 12hp will make that much difference in acceleration, at least not as much as tranny/diff ratios.

You didn't read all of my post 4.10 versus 3.73

Plus I'm betting the half ton weighs a little less than the 3/4 ton

You didn't read all my post either He has the 6spd with a first gear of 4.0?:1 compared to your 4spd with a first gear of 3.0?:1. That would make a big difference in acceleration off the line, and pulling a trailer. I agree with you about weight difference between a 1/2 ton and 3/4ton. His is only an extended cab tho', not crew like yours.

Anyway my original point was that your 1/2ton with the max/4spd/4.10 gear gets the same mileage as 3/4ton no max/6spd/3.73 gear. I would of thought they would get different, expecting you to get better w/max and 1/2ton.
Maybe the second OD, and 3.73 gears helps the non max 6.0L achieve same mileage as the 6.0Lmax?

ok yea i do with farm trucks so beating of them is expacted in the 1/2 ton 5.3 we get about 16 to 13 and the 6.0 its like 15 to 12 and the 3/4 ton 6.0 is 10 to well 6
