Its not, you guys just aren't using your noggins.. compare apples to apples.

SRT8 Charger = 4160
SRT8 Challenger = 4140

V6 charger is in the mid 3700s, so the challenger should be similar. more or less the same car...

Default know what your talking about before you post it !

I'm not trying to be a jerk here,.......but before you talk about something, make sure you have the facts,...................other than the radio, door handles and switches, the interior is COMPLETELY NEW,.....there are no carry over instrument panel or IP components,.........oh pardon me,.......the glove box and knee blocker are actually from the LX platform..............but that is it !!!!! and " in person" it is a sweet car !!!! they still kept the same stance as the prototype , ( which they typically dont).........and yes in '09 .........they will be offering the SRT in a stick shift ...........

Yeah, it is a sweet car "in person" and it drives pretty damn well too....that is if they haven't changed it majorly in the last 8 months....as I stated, black looks much better on it

While the interior dash moldings are "new" they are based off the LX platform (yes, I know this is a LY). The IP is SOLELY based on those found in the magnums - go look, they're general design is identical (LY has new gauge fonts and colors....whopty). IMO, it's chinsy inside for 40+K. Again, just my opinion, and we all know how those are

Dunno, I would think that, given the clout surrounding this car, that they would design it as cats-ass as possible. Sure, they wanted to get it to launch quickly, but it's already been quite some time since the original proto-type came out. And, a lot of the ppl who were in love with it are already talking about how they strayed from it (primarily the B-pillar).....

I'll say nothing other than we make the cluster for the Charger, Challenger, and the Camaro. So I have some decent familiarity with them.

Its not a 'carryover' part due to a different part number for a different software calibration.

Same part, though.

sorry , you are correct on the actual cluster unit itself, but all the components you see,....are new,..........new tooling , new designs etc,............they are built in the same plant in Brampton Canada though..........as the LX ...........

And I have EVERY Challenger ever built at my disposal right now too. Its nice being the launch coordinator for exterior systems. I just left the plant about an hour ago, we started a new build phase today, should be pumping out a good number of cars starting next week.

Me and my brother went by one of them about 4 or 5 days ago. My brother then proceeded by flipping a U-turn on Orion, chasing it down, then proceeded to take pics w/ phone. Thing looked SWEET!!! It looked exactly like the one in the pics and did not have any type on camouflage on or manufacturer plates.
